Amika, a vibrant brand known for its professional-grade hair care products and bold identity, continues to grow its presence among everyday consumers and wholesale distributors alike. But as the brand expanded, a new opportunity emerged: rewarding the small salons that serve as brand ambassadors at the ground level.
To turn this idea into a scalable, tech-driven solution, Amika envisioned a custom loyalty program. One that could incentivize salon partners through gift products and reward points, without disrupting their existing sales ecosystem. Master of Code Global was brought on board to bring this concept to life, transforming a cloned consumer storefront into a robust, point-powered platform that recognizes performance, simplifies distributor tracking, and deepens long-term loyalty.
Amika approached us with an ambitious vision: build a loyalty program that rewards salons for their sales performance, without disrupting the existing consumer or distributor experience. However, the technical foundation brought unique complications. Both the consumer-facing site and the future loyalty platform relied on the same HubSpot environment, creating user management conflicts. When a client updated their profile on one site, it could unintentionally impact their presence on the other.
Beyond the infrastructure hurdle, Amika also needed an intuitive way for distributors to track performance across multiple salons, assign reward tiers, and monitor point usage in detail – all without handling direct transactions. Balancing simplicity for salons, insight for distributors, and seamless integration with Amika’s marketing operations – all these things required not just development, but strategic problem-solving and strong product ownership.
Master of Code Global built a tier-based rewards platform with real-time tracking, role-oriented access, and seamless Shopify–HubSpot integration.
To bring Amika’s loyalty program to life, we developed a standalone platform that mirrors the consumer storefront, but operates on reward points instead of cash. Designed specifically for partner salons, this solution allows users to redeem points for products based on their sales performance, while keeping the experience frictionless and focused.
Each feature was thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of Amika’s distributor model, promote salon engagement, and maintain backend harmony with the consumer site.
Tier-Based Loyalty Engine: Salons are ranked into five tiers based on bi-monthly sales data reported by distributors. The higher the tier, the more generous the reward and gift incentives, encouraging consistent performance and deepening brand loyalty.
Reward-Driven Product Redemption: The storefront showcases the same Amika products available to consumers, but salons use internal reward points to make purchases, completely removing the need for monetary transactions on the loyalty platform.
Distributor Dashboard: Distributors log into a custom portal where they can see their full network of salons, view individual tier statuses, track point usage, and monitor overall sales output.
Real-Time Performance Insights: The dashboard provides visual summaries and data breakdowns, helping distributors identify trends, compare periods, and coach salon partners more effectively.
Dual-Platform Harmony with HubSpot: We solved the initial challenge of user overlap by creating a seamless setup within a single HubSpot instance, ensuring both platforms coexist without data conflicts or workflow disruption.
Built for Scalability: In addition to the U.S. version, we launched a fully localized Canadian site to support market growth. Plans are in motion to integrate a knowledge base, sustain ticket system, and AI-powered assistant to further scale help.
